Thank you for your support!

Below is a list of what I plan to do with your contributions. Many of these idea's were requested by users and I am more than happy to hear about any ideas you may have. So hear they are, in no particular order:

  • Add a scheduling agent so that you can setup regular scan at set intervals and receive an email report if threats are found.
  • Add an easy way for you to report a specific file to me for closer examination when you find some malicious code that my plugin missed.
  • Make registration optional so you can download the definition updates without registering the plugin.
  • Add a JavaScript method to the login patch for when the session method is not available.
  • Create a list of professionals who are available for hire to remove malware if extra help is needed.
  • Check for new files that don't belong when running the Core Files Check to remove files that have been added to the wp-includes or wp-admin.
  • Create a non-WordPress-wrapper or CLI for people with infections on a non-WordPress site or for when your WordPress admin is not working.
  • Update the definitions of Known Threats as new malicious threats are discovered.

I will update this list when I hear your thoughts and suggestions too.

Here are a few of the major updates I was able to complete in the with past donations:

  • Added a Database scan to find and remove any malicious code injected directly into your content.
  • Added a Core Files Check to scan for any changes to WordPress files and restore them if any are found.
  • Added the ability to change the admin username if the current username is "admin".
  • Moved the quarantine files into the database and deleted the old directory in uploads.

Aloha and Mahalo,

Eli Scheetz

    Hello,
I’ve clicked on the link into our admin to pay 29 dollars.
The payment went OK, but the plugin is still blocked for a “core scan”…
Can you help us on that ?
    Thanks.

What is the default level and how much do I have to donate to get automatic updates?

Thanks and have a great day!

If you donate using the button on the Anti-Malware Settings page of your wp-admin then your donation will be linked to your account by the Key that you registered, even if the account email does not match your PayPal email address, so it is not necessary that you know your login details.

You can also click on your Key to open the registration form and re-register under a different email address if you want.

If your plug in put this on cuarentine, there is nothing left to do?

The site is already normal, but i have that question.

Yes, the items listed in your Quarantine have been fixed so you do not need to do anything with those. However, you should run the Complete Scan again every couple of days for a few weeks just to make sure that the infections do not come back. Unfortunately, once you have been infected your site will be a target for future attack, and if there is still an exploitable vulnerability on your site it is likely that some hacker or malicious bot will find it again.

tested “pro” fetures and the pligin works great, all mi site were fixed and now online! Please keep up workin on, maybe you can upgrade scan features and something like force the scan over skipped files; hope a full scan without skipping wil be fantastic for customers…’cause they feel fully protected…

      Thanks for the great feedback.

To clarify: if you look at the skipped files you will see that they are all binary or empty and cannot execute malicious code on your site so there is no need to scan them. Also, you can change the file type to be skipped if you wish but there is really no need and that will only slow down that Complete Scan ;-)

Hi Eli, I love the sound of everything said about your plugin and the way you respond to all reviews. The only snag is, as I come to your website, it displays a red triangle with “not secure” in the address bar… Doctor’s children are always sick?..

      • On February 11, 2019 at 11:12 am, Anti-Malware Admin said:

LOL, you could say that, but the simple truth is that the message you are seeing in your browser is just letting you know that you came to the site using HTTP instead of HTTPS, which means that the data transmitted was not “secured” with an SSL certificate. I do however have and use and SSL certificate on my site for all “secure” transactions, but I don’t choose to enforce it when you are simply calling up my site to browse around the content. There are a lot of images and links loaded over HTTP so I didn’t want to enforce HTTPS on the whole site and make those “unsecured” resources cause even more concern with “mixed content” errors.

The truth in your query is that I do in fact spend much more time making sure that My plugin is cutting-edge and up to the task of fighting off the latest malware infections and protecting all of your sites than I do sprucing up my own website ;-)
