    Greetings,

When I try and log in to some of my GOTMLS-enabled sites I sometimes get repeatedly shunted back and forth between the login page and this message:

You have been redirected here from (website link) which is protected by GOTMLS Anti-Malware

This can happen 3 or 4 times before I’m finally able to get into my Dashboard.

Wondering if this is supposed to happen or if it indicates some sort of problem.

    Thanks.

Also wanted to add, that at 20 of my sites, I’m now unable to login.

    For instance: http:// … domain … /wp-login.php

… seems to not exist … or is pretending to not exist.

    Error message is:

The (domain name) page isn’t working

(domain name) redirected you too many times.

Have written to my server provider about it, but wondering if it may in fact be a GOTMLS issue.

    Thanks.

The first message you posted is related to my plugin redirecting you because your login page did not have the right key on it, it may have been cached or you may have been on that page too long and the key had expired. I recommend refreshing your login page before attempting to login.

Your follow-up post here is not related to my plugin. You have some other kind of login protection enabled on that site that is redirecting you. That may also work better if you clear your cache and refresh thtat page but I cannot say for sure because it’s not my plugin.

    Dear Eli,

    Thanks for your advice.

You have some other kind of login protection enabled on that site that is redirecting you.

I see there’s a plugin called “Limit Login Attempts“.

    Could that be the culprit?

The first message you posted is related to my plugin redirecting you because your login page did not have the right key on it ….

Is the key you’re referring to the GOTMLS key?

If so, it’s definitely the right key since when I do finally get into the Dashboard I can see it in the GOTMLS “Anti-Malware” section.

… it may have been cached or you may have been on that page too long and the key had expired. I recommend refreshing your login page before attempting to login.

I don’t understand how a key can expire.

A bit confused about how this stuff works.

Anyway, I’ll try your suggestion next time I encounter this problem.

    Thanks.

Sorry for the confusion about the “key”, I shouldn’t have called it that, it’s more like a nonce token. The point is that caching the login page will interfere with my login protection and cause false positive redirects.

That seems to do the trick.
