Your plugin saved me hours of work and worked beautifully on our wordpress sites! However, there are a few sites that are definitely infected that the scanner cannot clean. It dies during the scan process and throws me into a 404 error. For instance, it cleaned the main directory wordpress install at http://www.asupr.com/ just fine. But the wordpress install on the subdomain http://www.asupr.com/asureport/ cannot scan or clean.
I will be happy to donate if you can help me fix this problem!
Thank you for your incredible contribution!

April 20, 2012 at 1:54 am #212Heather,
I’m glad to hear that my work has proved useful to you.
I have a possible solution that may help with your subdomain issue. I see you have registered a lot of domains to this plug. If you have multiple domains on the same server then I could modify your registration on gotmls.net to allow you to scan one level higher in your directory hierarchy. This could make it easier to scan the parent of a sublevel domain or siblings of your primary domain under the parent directory. Let me know if you want to try this, and what domain would you use as your primary registration.
I don’t think this will help specifically with your 404 error though. I have not seen this happen before. If you are willing I would like to take a closer look at your site and debug this issue for you. Then I could release an update that may help others who are having the same problem. Is there any way I could get a temporary admin account on that site so that I can run the scan myself and see where it’s breaking?
Thanks for the offer to donate (I would be very appreciative). I am willing to help you through this in good faith and then, when we are done, you can decide how much it is worth to you and donate appropriately.
Aloha, Eli
April 24, 2012 at 2:56 am #249I have a similar problem with primary (waterwaywatch.org) and 4 subdomains and so as part of testing I registered a couple of sites. I have since made a donation under nbquidditch.gmail.com so could you set that address up to scan from a higher level (at the moment it hangs when I try to scan public_html/).
Thanks
Will

Thanks for letting me into your server. I’m glad we were able to get to the bottom of this issue and get your server all cleaned up. I have added the new variant I found on your server to my definitions updates so everyone else will benefit from the new discovery.Aloha, Eli
April 30, 2012 at 7:14 pm #255I’m running into a 500 error while scanning. No subdomains on the program, but am running a version of WP running with the Webcomic plugin (if that matters). Would happily donate to get this fixed.
June 13, 2012 at 9:28 am #295Thank you so much for this great plug in! I have been able to use it successfully on two of my sites. However, it gets stuck on one site on different files in the jc/jcrop folder on the one site that seems to have all the malware.
Are you able to help me out? Donations if we can stop Google from flagging my sites every week! Ha!
August 31, 2012 at 7:39 am #406I just wanted to post another solution for those who are still having this issue. I don’t yet have an absolute fix as there are many different reasons for the scan to get stuck in the middle but I did release a BETA version that effectively skips the problem directories and allows you to fix the threats that are found. It is much slower and it relies on heavy JavaScript that may bog down you browser while scanning but it is my best solution yet for this particular problem.
It is version 1.2.07.30 in the WordPress Repositories and it can be downloaded here:
October 30, 2012 at 10:43 pm #469I just released an update that fixes this issue. The Complete Scan will now reach 100% and report any file or folders that could not be read or opened.
Download version 1.2.10.27 to resolve these issues.
